Project Description
Project Details

Small moves made a big difference in this kitchen and living room renovation. By removing a portion of a very large central chimney, Hinge Studio was able to create a visual connection between the kitchen dining room and living room in this mid-century home. A small counter depth bump out in the kitchen allowed for the addition of large working island. The kitchen was dramatically updated from it’s original postwar condition into a true chef’s kitchen worthy of this restaurant professional’s expertise. By updating the floors and ceilings with lighter brighter finishes, the project took advantage of the light and views of this lovely mid-century home.
