Hinge Studio worked with this local non-profit photography center and school to convert under utilized color dark room space into a new digital lab and daylight photography studio. In order to meet a tight construction budget, simple functional moves were employed. In order to add visual interest and height the roof structure in the photography studio was exposed and painted white. Simple plywood casework was designed to add much needed storage. The digital lab features a wall size magnetic white board that doubles as display and projection space. The project is currently being phased with the digital lab the first to be completed.
